For technical issues, include the device you're using, your iOS version, and a quick description of what happened. If you can reproduce the problem, the steps that lead to it are especially useful.

Every message is read, and replies generally arrive within two working days. If you haven't heard back after a few days, feel free to send it again.

Common questions

What do I need to run it?

BrickShift needs (empty). It runs on iOS.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. BrickShift automatically keeps your best runs and lifetime totals on your iPhone as you play. There is no account to create and nothing to manage. Open the game again and your records are waiting for you.

Does my progress move between devices?

Not at the moment. Scores and totals stay on the iPhone that played them, so a new phone starts fresh. Deleting the app also removes the locally saved progress. BrickShift has no account or cloud profile keeping a second copy elsewhere.

The ball is going too fast.

That is part of the difficulty curve. The ball gets slightly faster as you break bricks, so a longer run gradually gives you less time to react. Lose the ball and its speed resets to the starting rate for the current stage.

I can't break the grey blocks.

Metal blocks cannot be broken by the normal ball. They are part of the later stage layouts, and only the Fireball powerup can destroy them. Until one appears, you'll need to play around them.

What do you collect about me?

Nothing is collected by Avenue Apps. BrickShift has no Avenue Apps account and no analytics that send your personal data back to us. Information the app saves stays on your devices or, where applicable, in your own iCloud. The privacy policy explains the details.

Can you add something?

Please do. Feature requests are welcome, especially when they make the app more useful without adding unnecessary complexity.

Reporting a bug

A screenshot can make a problem much easier to identify. If BrickShiftcrashes, leaving crash reporting enabled in your device's privacy settings can also provide useful technical details through Apple and help narrow down the cause.
