Privacy
Effective November 2, 2026
The short version: Boxset doesn't collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your videos stay on your Mac, and the only things Boxset sends online are the names it needs to look up.
What we collect
Nothing at all. We don't receive your data, we don't keep a copy of it, and we have no way to see it.
What stays on your Mac
Your queue, your History and your settings, plus the original details of any MP4 or M4V file, which Boxset saves before it makes a change. When Apple Intelligence reads a messy file name, that happens on your Mac too.
What Boxset looks up online
To find the right details and artwork, Boxset sends the name of each film or show, along with the season and episode number, to Apple TV, TMDB and the iTunes Store, and gets the details and artwork back. Your video files are never sent. Like any online service, those services can see that your Mac made the request, and their own privacy policies apply to it.
Updates
Once a day, Boxset checks avenueapps.ca for a newer version. That check doesn't include anything about you or your files.
Deleting it
Delete the app, and it's gone. Its settings and History live only on your Mac, so there's nothing stored anywhere else for us to remove.
If you email us
If you write in for help, we'll read what you send and use it to answer you, and for nothing else.
