Video Compressor & Photo Size shrinks videos and photos right on your device, so they're small enough to send. On your home screen the app appears as "Compressor". If something isn't working the way you'd expect, we're happy to help.

Every message is read, and replies generally arrive within two working days. If you haven't heard back after a few days, feel free to send it again.
Restore Purchases
If you've bought Pro and it isn't showing, for example after reinstalling the app or getting a new device, you don't need to pay again.
- Make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account you used to buy it, and that you're online.
- Open the app, which appears as Compressor on your home screen.
- Tap the gear button at the top left of the start screen, then tap Restore Purchases. You'll also find Restore Purchases on the Pro purchase screen.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, so we can't see them or restore them from our end. If it doesn't work, write to us and we'll help you sort it out.
Tips
- Choose the option that matches where you're sending the file.
- Keep the app open during long compressions.
- Use a larger size for long videos.
- Videos stored in iCloud need a connection to download first.
Common questions
- Which size should I choose?
Choose the one that matches where you're sending it. Text (MMS) is 600 KB, Email is 15 MB, WhatsApp is 15 MB and Discord is 10 MB. Half size makes the file 50 percent smaller, for when you simply want it smaller without aiming at a particular app.
- Why is my result smaller than the size I chose?
The result is never over the size you chose, and simple footage often comes out well under it.
- My file is still too big to send by text.
MMS limits vary by carrier. Try Half size, or a custom size with Pro.
- Why does my video look low quality?
It's probably a long video aimed at a small size. Choose a bigger option, such as Email.
- Is my original deleted?
No. It stays untouched, and the app makes a new copy.
- How many free videos do I get?
3 in any 7 days. The app shows when your next free one is available. Photos are always free.
- How do I restore my purchase?
Tap the gear button at the top left of the start screen, then Restore Purchases. It's also on the Pro purchase screen.
- Why does my HDR video look different?
It's converted to standard video so it plays correctly everywhere.
- Why is it taking a while to load?
Videos stored in iCloud have to download first.
- Does it work offline?
Yes, except for videos stored in iCloud and for purchases.
